I have been busy experimenting with my new kitchen toy for almost a month now. Maybe that explains why I have disappeared for a while. I was wondering how I should present to you my new magnificent toy which I have grown to love very much.

A lot of my daily cooking now evolves around my toy. I bought this toy to help make my daily meals healthier without compromising with the taste. A lot of our Malaysian dishes are full of oil, fats and unsaturated oil. What can I say, ‘fat’ does make food taste better but my new toy has managed to help me lessen the fat and oil content in my meat, thus giving me a great opportunity to cook my favourite dishes with a peace of mind. My new kitchen toy is a super-heated steam oven, that steams, grills, roasts and bakes. Eat healthy 5 days week and enjoy restaurant food on weekends!

The combination of honey and lemon is very appealing to many expecting mothers. Usually, I find this dish just very plain and normal but lately, the fragrance of this combination simmering in a saucepan or baking in an oven seem so very alluring.

8 pairs of chicken wings (rinse and pat dry)

  • 5 Tbsp raw honey
  • juice of a lemon
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • A dash of pepper

3 slices of ginger
3 cloves of garlic (smashed)

  1. Take marinated chicken wings out from the fridge to temperature.
  2. Put the wings, garlic, ginger and marinade into a glass vision ware (oven proof) uncovered. Bake in my new toy for 25 minutes at 210 degree celsius. If you have an oven, it will work as well but your chicken wings will not be so moist.
  3. Take out and serve with or without gravy is just a delicious. Easy as ABC……..
