In other parts of the world large sea prawns are called shrimps but strange enough I grew up thinking shrimps are the tiny baby prawns used to make "hae bee" (small tiny dried prawns). Anyway, whatever name you wish to call them, prawns or shrimps doesn't make a difference to their taste. As long as they taste good, you can call them anything you wish.
I will be making some non-spicy fish cakes followed closely with some spicy Thai ones. This way both young and old get to enjoy fish cakes of their choice. Keep in mind, this is not a very simple recipe. It takes a little more time to prepare then my usual stuffs I churn out daily but then again, it is worth every effort. That is why I make it in bulk, fish paste has many uses and can be stored refrigerated in an airtight container for a few days.
It has been quite a long while since I last posted. Feels good to start clicking at the keyboard again. The past month has been pretty eventful not to mention the lack of sleep due to 2 under-the-weather children taking turns to have their 'go' at mom. Anyway that's over now and most importantly I have gulai to share.
